Distinguished actor, producer and comedian John Gallagher Portero is visiting Málaga, and you have a unique opportunity to learn to improvise with him.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Use your real life experiences, start from a place of truth and find the fun!

This workshop will focus on how to begin and navigate your scenes without thinking so much. In doing so, scenes will feel more relatable, real, and will give students the opportunity to play in the moment and find fun conclusions to their scenes.

This class is open to people with no improv experience, and also to people with up to 2 years improv experience. So, maybe this can be your opportunity to give improv a try, or to enhance your improv skills with a new teacher.

18th of October (Saturday), from 11:00 to 14:00 (3 hours in total).

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

John is an actor, writer, producer, comedian and improviser from London, UK.

He has served as the Artistic Director of Bristol Long form Comedy and was a founding member of the UK improv group Jazz Police. 

He has performed at numerous prestigious festivals including the Edinburgh International Improv Festival, Amsterdam Improv Festival, and the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe Festivals. 

He has trained and performed with teachers from UCB, iO Improv, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Free Association, and Second City. 

John now teaches and coaches in Toronto and can be seen performing with award-winning group SMOOCH, sketch duo Porter-Jones, and his solo show One Board Man.
